Scion Nonprofit Staffing has been engaged to conduct an immediate search for an experienced Vice President, Strategic Partnerships and Business Development on behalf of our client, a respected financial services association in New York, NY. Our client provides educational programs and member, political action, and public relations services to enhance New York’s financial industry. Their focus is on major policy initiatives within the industry, networking opportunities, and professional development. This position is for immediate hire and works on a hybrid schedule from 10 AM to 5 PM at the office on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays and from 9 AM to 5 PM remotely on Wednesdays and Fridays.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead business development efforts to secure and expand relationships with member banks and new prospects, driving non-dues revenue. Develop and implement effective sales strategies, marketing plans, and initiatives to support organizational growth and align with the organization’s revenue objectives.
Spearhead the development and execution of comprehensive business development strategies, ensuring alignment with industry trends and member needs, particularly in financial technology and innovative banking products.
Supervise, mentor, and motivate the business development team, setting clear expectations and performance goals. Foster a collaborative, results-driven environment that encourages continuous improvement and accountability.
Manage and cultivate long-term relationships with current clients, ensuring high satisfaction, retention, and engagement levels. Track and monitor contractual agreements and client data to ensure compliance and successful outcomes.
Develop and monitor key performance metrics, including revenue goals, sales pipeline progress, and team performance. Oversee budgeting, P&L management, and long-term financial planning to ensure business development initiatives’ financial health and success.
QUALIFICATIONS:
12+ years of experience in financial services, sales, or strategic planning, focusing on driving business development and revenue growth.
Proven leadership experience, with 5+ years managing teams, setting expectations, and motivating staff to achieve performance goals.
Demonstrated success in business development, including experience with sales strategies and exceeding revenue targets.
Experience developing and executing sales and marketing plans with a strategic mindset to support organizational growth.
Familiarity with financial technology and innovative banking products, with a strong ability to identify and capitalize on trends.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders and executives in a collaborative environment.
Willingness to travel within New York State; hybrid work environment.
Established connections within the banking or financial services sectors in New York preferred.
