Scion Nonprofit Staffing has been engaged to conduct an immediate search for a talented Executive Assistant for our client, an inspirational economic and community development organization serving Latino communities located in Washington, D.C.! This role will provide assistance to the organization’s Chief Executive Officer and the vast array of tasks and projects needed to increase the CEO’s impact and effectiveness on a daily basis. This full-time, hybrid opportunity is for immediate hire!

Position Summary:
The Executive Assistant will support the CEO in all aspects of daily operations, including logistical support, scheduling, travel arrangements, and other special projects as needed within the organization’s faced-paced, detail-oriented environment. The ideal individual for this role will be a skilled administrative professional with demonstrated experience supporting an executive-level individual. 

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage the CEO’s calendar to ensure accuracy, eliminate scheduling conflicts, and monitor deadlines.
  • General administrative support, including communication (emails, memos, formal communication on behalf of the CEO).
  • Coordinate alongside the Executive Leadership Team as needed for optimizing and continuing operations.
  • Meeting coordination, including scheduling, reminders, and event planning as needed.
  • Making travel arrangements and formulating itineraries.
  • Assist in the drafting, development, and implementation of the organization’s strategic plan and track milestones.
  • Provide project management support to the entire leadership team in preparation for Board of Directors and Committee meetings; develop materials for such meetings.
  • Provide administrative support in projects carried out by Board members.
  • Aid in the development of standard procedures and operating processes throughout all areas of the organization; continuously optimize.
  • Order supplies, schedule repairs, work with vendors and partners, receive mail and packages, and coordinate with building management as needed.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience supporting a CEO or similar-level role.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with computer technology and software applications, including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proven nonprofit experience, especially within the community-based nonprofit or national scope.
  • Ability to analyze complex public policy reports and documentation.
  • Experience interacting with diverse coalitions of nonprofit organizations, governmental agencies, and corporate partners.
  • High attention to detail and organizational aptitude.
  • Ability to work both collaborative and independently.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish, preferred.

Compensation:
Along with an annual salary of $60,000 to $86,000 dependent upon experience, this role offers a hybrid work environment and a generous benefits package. The organization pays a large portion of insurance premiums for health, dental, and vision insurance as well as life and accident insurance.
